Certified, not just claimed
Our breakfast is certified by ABCert AG, a state-approved organic inspection body, under the German regulation for organic catering. Since March 2022 we've also been a member of BioHotels.de, a Europe-wide network of hotels committed to consistently ecological operations.
Long-standing partner suppliers instead of anonymous supply chains
We rely on long-standing, in some cases decades-old partnerships with producers from the region: organic cheese from Hofkäserei Zeiz, wines from Weingut Gebr. Geiger in the neighbouring village of Thüngersheim, fresh free-range organic eggs from the Dengel family in Neubrunn, regional honey from Bio Imkerei Stephan, and artisan baked goods from Webers Landbäckerei — fresh daily, from the region.
Small portions, less waste
Our buffet deliberately follows the principle that "small portions guarantee freshness and reduce food waste" — rather than keeping large quantities on hand, we replenish more often in smaller amounts. We also deliberately avoid single-portion packaging.
Growing vegan and vegetarian selection
Following a "plants first" approach, we're steadily expanding our plant-based selection at the buffet — with homemade hummus variations, homemade fruit salad, overnight oats and much more.
Art with your breakfast
And because enjoyment is also about the eye: since 2025 we've displayed rotating exhibitions by regional artists in our breakfast room — free of charge and open to all guests. More on the Art in the Hotel page. Fitting our literary house, there are also books there to browse.

- Tuesday to Friday: 6:00 – 10:00 am
- Weekends & public holidays: 7:30 – 10:30 am
In good weather, you can also enjoy your breakfast on the terrace in the chestnut garden.
