In short

  • We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and provide our content and services.
  • This website currently uses no analytics or tracking tools (e.g. no Google Analytics) and no marketing cookies. We set no cookies and store no information on your device that would require consent (Section 25 TDDDG), so no cookie banner is currently needed.
  • Our hosting provider automatically collects technical server log data (IP address, date and time of request, page accessed, browser and operating system) for the technical operation and security of the website.
  • If you contact us by phone, email or via the contact page, we process the data you provide solely to handle your enquiry.
  • For sign-ups to our Literature Club newsletter, we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France). We collect your first and last name, your email address and your consent to receive the newsletter; sign-up uses a double opt-in: you receive an email with a confirmation link, and your sign-up only becomes effective once you click it (the times of sign-up and confirmation are stored as proof of consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email. On pages with the sign-up form, the form's script and stylesheet are loaded from Brevo's servers, which transmits your IP address to Brevo. More information: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
  • For online bookings, we use the booking system of Mews Systems B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands). When you click a button such as "Book now" or "Check availability", you are taken to Mews's booking page, where your booking and contact details are processed on our behalf.   • Tickets for our readings are sold via the pretix platform (pretix.eu), which acts as our processor and uses technically necessary cookies for the ordering process. More information: pretix.eu/about/en/privacy.
  • We embed a review widget from CA Customer Alliance GmbH (Berlin) and a sustainability seal from GreenSign (VERIS Certifications GmbH, Berlin). When a page is loaded, your IP address (and, for GreenSign, the address of the page you are viewing) is transmitted to these providers (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).   • This website uses only locally hosted fonts — no connection is made to Google Fonts or other external font servers.
  • You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR).
